Do I Need A Doctor's Referral?
A doctor's referral is not required to see any of our therapists for private treatment. However, some private insurance companies require a doctor's referral to be submitted to qualify for coverage. It is best to check your personal plan. Please check with your provider for more information.
What Should I Bring To My Appointment?
- - Suitable attire for your injury location (i.e., shorts for leg related injuries)
- - Doctor’s referral (if you have one)
- - Diagnostic test results relevant to your injury (i.e. X-rays, CT scan, MRI results)
- - WSIB / MVA Patients – referral, claim number, case manager’s name and number.
What Can I Expect At My First Visit?
The physiotherapist will discuss the history of your injury or area of pain. A physical exam will be conducted to determine which physical structures are contributing to your pain. Lastly, an individualized treatment plan will be discussed and started. The duration, frequency, and number of treatments will vary depending on the condition. The initial evaluation typically takes 60 minutes. Follow up treatments generally take 45 - 60 minutes.
**Please arrive at least 15 minutes early for your initial appointment to complete some paperwork.
Is My Treatment Covered By Insurance?
We provide services which can be funded by your Extended Health insurance, Motor Vehicle insurance and Worker's Compensation (WSIB). Please consult your insurance documents or insurance provider to find out the extent of their coverage for these services.
How Does Payment Work?
Unless otherwise stated, payment is expected after the completion of each treatment session. We accept payments in cash, Visa, Mastercard, and Debit.
**If you are submitting your claim to your Extended Health provider, we do provide a full receipt with treatment type, cost and date along with the provider's license/registration number.
